Terms of service

Effective October 4, 2026. These terms govern your use of Topname.ai, operated by Edamame Labs.

The Beta service

Topname helps you generate domain-name ideas, check availability and keep a shortlist. Features and usage limits may change. During Beta, visitors receive up to 3 AI searches and 20 availability-check requests per UTC day; signed-in accounts receive up to 20 AI searches and 100 check requests. Per-minute and shared daily budgets also apply. Failed provider requests may count toward these limits.

Names and availability

AI suggestions and readability or memorability grades are estimates. They are not trademark clearance, legal advice or a guarantee of brand suitability. You are responsible for checking trademarks, local meanings and other rights before using a name.

Availability is a point-in-time result, does not reserve a domain, and may change before checkout. The registrar confirms availability, price, renewal fees and registration terms at purchase. Topname does not register domains or collect domain-registration payments.

Your account and content

Use an email you control and keep access to it secure. You retain rights to content you submit and allow us to process it to provide the service, including through our disclosed providers. Do not submit content you lack permission to use, confidential information you cannot share, or unlawful material.

Acceptable use

Do not bypass limits, automate bulk scanning through public search endpoints, interfere with the service, or try to access another person’s data. We may restrict abusive activity or suspend access to protect the service.

Third parties and commissions

Third-party services have their own terms. We may receive a commission if you register through an affiliate link. We do not guarantee a registrar’s service or the outcome of a registration.

Availability of the service

The Beta is provided as available. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, accuracy or suitability for a particular purpose. These terms do not exclude rights or remedies that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.
